Butterfly Lines - a collection of love poems and short stories

A farewell wish

The time for us to say goodbye
Is drawing near.
Why do you have to go?
Now that I lost my heart
To one as sweet as you,
How will I subsist?
Tell me, perhaps you know.

You were the sunrise of my morn,
My moonlight in the dark,
A flower in the bloom.
But now that you must leave
The rays of sun and moon
Will fade and leave a void,
An empty space of gloom.

Now that you must leave
Allow my heart to speak
And wish you well
May the good Lord open doors,
Allow you access to a world
Of happiness and peace,
Prosperity and good health.

Let the light of love you radiate
And all that’s good in you
Touch everyone you meet.
Wherever you might go,
Show your inner beauty,
Sympathy and kindness,
Sincerity and honesty.

I thank my lucky stars
To have met a special girl like you,
Sweet Natalie.
I will have so many pleasing
Memories of you.
All I ask of you is:
Please remember me.

Butterfly.
